Job Descriptions

As an employee at Cypress Mountain you are part of the Cypress Mountain Team. Working together as a Team we are all expected to support each other and help each other, which means that we sometimes extend our help by going beyond the duties of our job descriptions, so long as it’s safe to do so of course!

Instructors are especially key in creating and inspiring good relationships with other departments. As we’re naturally welcoming, friendly, and helpful we are the natural ambassadors for the mountain for guests and staff alike.

Instructors:

• Teach private, group, and multi-day lessons to adults and children in a variety of lesson programs.

• Provide customer service; greeting guests, assist students in rentals, hosting school groups, and lesson wrap up

• Provide safe learning environments by following Class Management and Alpine Responsibility Code procedures

• Maintain timely documentation including daily class cards, and incident reports

• Assist with Special Events as required

• Maintain teaching areas including set up and take down: fencing, signage, shoveling

• Maintain a safe work environment by following the Health & Safety program, and by attending Meeting each shift

• May include training and supervising staff depending on certification level and experience

LESSON DESK & RESERVATIONS:

• Providing a positive front-facing experience for guests & staff

• Selling and checking guests into lessons

• Assisting with line control during busy periods

• Customizing lesson, rental, lesson, pass packages

• Selling and checking guests into lessons

• Assisting with line control during busy periods

• Managing reservations and accounts for Private Lesson clients

• Processing credits, refunds, deferrals

• Daily cash outs

• Administrative tasks including data entry, account reconciliation, sales audits, rosters, waitlist management, reports etc
